Respected Nigerian Pastor Tragically Killed by Suspected Kidnappers

The recent tragic incident involving the abduction and subsequent killing of Pastor Akor has plunged the Nigerian community into mourning and sorrow. Pastor Akor, a devout servant of God, was taken away by suspected kidnappers and reportedly killed due to a delay in the payment of ransom. This heart-wrenching event was revealed by Abuja-based cleric Bishop Peter Attayi Yakubu, who shared the devastating news on social media.

Bishop Yakubu, who held Pastor Akor in high regard, expressed his profound grief in a Facebook post dated May 25, 2026. 'My heart is bleeding. Oh my son, Pastor Akoh. He was my chief usher. He served well and was greatly impacted with prophetic grace,' Bishop Yakubu wrote. The bond between them was more than professional; it was personal and spiritual. Bishop Yakubu recounted how Pastor Akor, who had branched out to start his own ministry, invited him for a fatherly visit to his church, which was scheduled for September.

The news of Pastor Akor's death comes as a severe blow to his family and community, as his wife is currently breastfeeding their newborn child. The impact of this loss is felt deeply across the community, highlighting the ongoing security issues in Nigeria, where kidnappings and violence seem to be rampant.
